Their Story

SPC Dan Pulsipher adopted Harley, a 10 month old Pitbull mix that came to the Washington Animal Rescue League from a local Maryland shelter.

SPC Pulsipher is an OEF Veteran that suffers from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and anxiety. While on patrol in Afghanistan, SPC Pulsipher and his unit were struck by a Remote-Detonated Improvised Explosive Device and a shaped charge directly hit his vehicle (MRAP). This direct explosion caused his vehicle to implode and flip that led to his injuries.

Man, I cannot thank C4H enough for helping me feel part of something, again. Having Harley has definitely made me see that there's light at the end of the tunnel and gives me determination to become more in this life of mine. God bless you, C4H and thank you, again!
