Well, after 11 months since C4H’s inception (operations began), the organization is making plans to aid more wounded veterans and save more sheltered pets across the Nation!

Still an all-volunteer organization and operating on a shoe-string budget yet providing cost-effective services, C4H will be offering its
services to the New York City, San Antonio and San Diego areas within the next two months. The amount of calls and emails C4H has received from our veterans suffering from  Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other psychological stresses in need of a companion animal from a shelter has been very overwhelming and worries an already heavy heart. Therefore, C4H will not delay any further to save lives — both our nation’s heroes and our beloved sheltered animals! The time has come to offer others what C4H has offered 22 C4H Heroes and their pets in the D.C. area — a chance to feel “normal” again while saving a loving sheltered animal.

As such, the organization has been very blessed in adding three new members to the C4H Family, they are:
Pamela Miller-Macias: C4H NYC Chapter Director
Brianne Miller (no relation to Pam): C4H San Diego Chapter Director
Debbie Parashak: C4H San Antonio Chapter Director

Please join me in welcoming these courageous individuals who have reached out to the organization in taking on their roles to help place more sheltered animals with the heroes who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.

I ask that if you know of any one person or persons interested in volunteering, exposing C4H’s work in your area or helping the organization obtain more funding, please, I urge you, please pass on this newsletter or contact volunteer@companionsforheroes.org.

If you or someone you know is interested in supporting C4H’s efforts please go to our donation page or contact sponsorship@companionsforheroes.org.
